Sources
Aravise reads public event calendars, such as Meetup and Luma calendar feeds, and organizer, university and venue pages that publish structured event data, for Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas.
Each source is read once a week. Eventbrite pages are never read; an Eventbrite registration link is shown only when an organizer's own page names it.
Verification
An event is listed only when its name, its date and the words that make it an AI event appear on the page Aravise captured from its source. Every saved fact keeps its source address, the date it was read and the exact words.
An event stays listed while its source was verified within the last 45 days. A listing that no longer matches its source is marked for review and shows a notice until it is checked again.
No sentence on these pages is written by a language model. Each one is a fixed template filled with stored values, or a quotation shown with its source.
City pages
Each of Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas gets a city page once at least 5 verified upcoming AI events in the next 90 days are on file for it. Between 5 and 9 events the page is shown but not offered to search engines; at 10 it is.
Once a city page has been offered to search engines it stays up. It stays offered until it has listed fewer than 10 events for 14 days in a row, and while it lists fewer than 5 it is shown but not offered.
An event that two sources list is shown once, from the better-verified listing, and an online-only event is not listed on a city page.
Conference and series pages
An event is listed as a conference when its name or its organizer's page calls it a conference, summit, symposium or expo, it was verified against the organizer's own listing within the last 45 days, it is in person or hybrid, and it starts in the next 12 months. A city's conference page appears once Aravise lists at least 5 AI conferences there in the next 12 months, and it is offered to search engines at 10; once offered it stays up, and it stays offered until it has listed fewer than 10 for 14 days in a row. The Texas page appears at 10 across the cities once a city has its own conference page.
A recurring series with at least 3 listed upcoming dates gets one page that lists every date. From then on only its next date is offered to search engines as a page of its own; the later dates are on the series page, and a date page that was already offered stays as it is.
What search engines see
An event page is offered to search engines when its source was verified in the last 45 days, it is public, it is in person or hybrid, it has a street address, and it is upcoming or at most 14 days past. At most 25 new pages become indexable each day.
A listing under review is never offered to search engines and carries no structured data.
Prices
No ticket prices are shown. An event is marked Free only when the organizer's own page says so.
Dates and changes
A page's last-updated date moves only when a listed event or a displayed fact changes. A weekly re-check that finds nothing new leaves it as it is.
A past event's page stays up for 90 days after it ends, then redirects to the next edition of the series or to its city page.
Corrections
To report a correction, email chris@aravise.ai with the page address and what changed. Aravise checks the organizer's own page before a listing changes.
